We recently had the privilege of conducting a Mental Health training session in Romford in collaboration with Havering Council, organised by HereToTalk training. The day was a resounding success, with a cohort of learners who were not only engaged but eager to absorb the valuable knowledge and skills being shared. It was inspiring to see individuals from the community coming together to equip themselves with the tools needed to make a difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges.
The impact of such training sessions goes beyond the classroom, as evidenced by the recent training conducted in the Isle of Man. The feedback we received was nothing short of heartwarming – over 20 barbers on the island had undergone our training, and two of them had already successfully signposted individuals in crisis to the appropriate support services, ultimately saving lives. It is moments like these that reaffirm the importance and significance of the work we do.
The ability to empower individuals from various backgrounds and professions to recognise, support, and guide those in need of mental health assistance is a powerful tool in building a more compassionate and understanding community. The ripple effect of this training extends far beyond the initial sessions, creating a network of individuals who are ready and equipped to offer a helping hand to those facing mental health challenges.
At HereToTalk training, we are dedicated to providing essential mental health education and resources to communities, organisations, and individuals, with the ultimate goal of fostering a culture of empathy, support, and intervention. The stories of impact and positive outcomes, such as those from Romford and the Isle of Man, serve as a testament to the transformative power of mental health awareness and intervention. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the well-being of individuals in need.
